NeoVim - a Vim-fork focused on extensibility and usability
I've used vim since the very first time I booted Linux and heard about NeoVim pretty early on. It was not in a very usable state back then, but things have changed a lot.
As far as I know, Neovim
is now available in quite a few distributions, including Mageia.
But I do not use the package, I compile my own version based on how the package does it by using cmake. Another requirement is Ninja to actually build NeoVim.
I am too tired right now to write a howto for you, but please give it a go. It is a very good editor which inherits a lot from Vim. You will feel right at home.
